Join us at the Edgewater Upper Pavilion for a protest for Land Day! We’ll be gathering with our Palestinian partners & allies to march in solidarity with Palestine.
Land Day started in 1976 when the Israeli government announced a plan to expropriate thousands of dunams of Palestinian land for state purposes. As thousands of Palestinians organized marches, a general strike, and protests from the Galilee of Palestine all the way to the Naqab desert, the Israeli army brutally repressed the movement killing six Palestinians. Since 1976, March 30th has been commemorated as Land Day. We find the importance of Land Day this year to be even more imperative as people struggle from forced expulsion in Gaza and their land is actively being occupied and colonized by the Israeli government.
Join us and the thousands of other protesters around the world taking part in Land Day demonstrations! We look forward to seeing you there!
