SUMMARY:Liberating our Seder Tables for Palestine: How to Have Hard Conversations on Passover
DESCRIPTION:As Passover approaches\, and the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza continues in full force\, we’re reminded that this year is unlike any other. Though many of us struggle with how to talk to our loved ones about Palestinian liberation\, having these difficult conversations has never been more important. \n\n\n\nDuring the workshop\, you’ll be welcomed into a safe space for us to unpack difficult issues together as a community and equip ourselves to talk to our loved ones at the Seder table about Zionism\, Palestine\, Israeli apartheid\, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

SUMMARY:Land Day March for Palestine
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Edgewater Upper Pavilion for a protest for Land Day! We’ll be gathering with our Palestinian partners & allies to march in solidarity with Palestine. \n\n\n\nLand Day started in 1976 when the Israeli government announced a plan to expropriate thousands of dunams of Palestinian land for state purposes. As thousands of Palestinians organized marches\, a general strike\, and protests from the Galilee of Palestine all the way to the Naqab desert\, the Israeli army brutally repressed the movement killing six Palestinians. Since 1976\, March 30th has been commemorated as Land Day. We find the importance of Land Day this year to be even more imperative as people struggle from forced expulsion in Gaza and their land is actively being occupied and colonized by the Israeli government. \n\n\n\nJoin us and the thousands of other protesters around the world taking part in Land Day demonstrations! We look forward to seeing you there!

SUMMARY:Student Panel: "Bridging Borders: The Palestinian Voice"
DESCRIPTION:John Carroll University Students for Justice in Palestine is hosting a student panel titled “Bridging Borders: The Palestinian Voice.” \n\n\n\nAt this event\, our primary focus will be on centering Palestinian voices\, providing a platform for open and honest discussions about Palestinian identity. Given the current events\, it is crucial that we amplify these voices and create a space for meaningful dialogue and understanding.  Our aim is to delve into various aspects of Palestinian identity\, including what it means to be Palestinian\, the significance of family history\, and personal narratives related to journeys to Palestine/Israel. Through these discussions\, we hope to foster a deeper comprehension of the Palestinian experience\, and to shift the narrative to those who are most profoundly impacted.(contact: ctuller27@jcu.edu) \n\n\n\n1 John Carroll Blvd\, University Heights\, OH 44118 \n\n\n\nDolan Science Center \n\n\n\nThe O’Connell Reading Room (first big room as you walk in)

SUMMARY:JVP Presents: Questioning Zionism - a Discussion Group
DESCRIPTION:Undoing a lifetime of misteachings is challenging and emotionally fraught. The mainstream institutions who have invested so much in administering a specific type of hardline pro-Israel political agenda will not and cannot provide the tools and support needed to unlearn. This discussion group should serve as a space for Jews who are compelled to fight for Palestinian liberation\, but are struggling with questions that feel impossible to raise or work through in existing spaces. It will be a lightly facilitated conversation.
